The human journey is often marked by moments of profound confusion and a sense of being lost, prompting an inherent search for advice and guidance. Yet, paradoxically, the answer frequently lies within, subtly obscured by societal conditioning. This challenge is acutely felt in the spiritual landscape, where a deep-seated fear around concepts like ‘spirit’ has taken root, often perpetuated by popular culture—think of television shows depicting ‘ghost hunters’ or sensationalised connections to ‘demons’ and ‘poltergeists.’ It is truly bizarre that such a fundamental necessity in ancient ways of living—the beautiful and loving connection to the spiritual realms—has become so lost in modern society. My speculation is that this disconnection largely began during the transformative period of the Dark Ages.

The Societal Veil: Fear and the Lost Connection
I’ve frequently observed and heard comments where individuals express the belief that communicating with a Spirit Guide (a being who is, in essence, merely one vibrational level removed from an incarnated human) is inherently ‘bad.’ This misconception often stems from past, perhaps traumatic, experiences with lower-dimensional beings—entities that actually exist on a vibrational level lower than that of an incarnated human. Despite these fears, every individual possesses the inherent right and capacity to explore and enjoy such profound spiritual experiences.
A critical insight, channelled from Amy North, reveals a powerful truth about the pervasive influence of fear. When a significant amount of fear permeates the collective consciousness, it ripples into the Spirit Guide realm itself. This energetic contamination creates palpable delays, manifests as resistance, and often leads to chaos and upset among the guides diligently working to support humanity. Consequently, Spirit Guides who find themselves bound by limiting beliefs within their own realm have acknowledged the pressing need to increase and clarify communications with their incarnates, striving to cut through the density of fear.
Amy North: Unmasking Fear's Illusions and Reclaiming Power

(A Channelled Message from Amy North)
“Alright, well, as you know, fear is fundamentally about power—specifically, the perceived lack thereof. It is, in essence, a mind-produced phenomenon. True fear, a genuine biological response, is limited to immediate, realistic threats, such as being chased by a wild animal. Beyond this primal survival instinct, fear has metastasized into something that actively erodes people’s minds and, consequently, their very lives.
Fear takes on many insidious faces. It can manifest in subtle ways, acting as a powerful impediment. It is what creates delays in life’s natural flow and can lead to the outright denial of one’s life purpose. When you encounter someone who knows in their heart they are meant to be a doctor, for example, but their fears whisper narratives of inadequacy—telling them they cannot achieve something so important or that they are not ‘special enough’—that person may never even try. In such instances, fear has effectively killed their dream, and that dream was intricately woven into their very life purpose.
A Spirit Guide, observing an incarnate caught in such a predicament, will tirelessly attempt many strategies to help turn that fear around. We strive to help the incarnate confront the fear, to see through its illusory nature, and to orchestrate encounters with supportive individuals who courageously encourage them to try. Yet, depending on the person and their current level of awareness, much of this invaluable guidance can, sadly, fall on deaf ears. This is precisely why our work—to heighten the Spirit Guide/Incarnate connection—is so vital. If we can facilitate this profound connection, we can empower people to realise their life purpose and courageously pursue their dreams. When more individuals align with their true soul path, it contributes directly to our collective planetary evolution.
The Soul-Crushing Illusion of “Growing Up”
“Spirit Guides are just one part of this grand evolutionary plan, but it is such a vital and necessary component. Somewhere along humanity’s timeline, a deeply damaging belief became ingrained: that it is acceptable, even practical, to give up on your dreams because they weren’t ‘realistic’ enough, simply because you were told to ‘grow up.’ We state unequivocally that the worst thing anyone can ever do is truly ‘grow up’ in this conventional, limiting sense, for it is absolutely soul-crushing!
To assert that you have ‘grown up’ and therefore can no longer dream is absurd. It is akin to declaring that you are no longer a soul, that you have transformed into a mere automaton. Yet, this is precisely what many people inadvertently do. Dreaming is to be in direct connection with your soul, with your infinite potential. People often live their lives in mechanical ways, following the rigid dictates of the system—’Go here, go there, work, eat, procreate, die.’ We must break this mould. Chasing after your childhood dreams, cherishing that innate sense of wonder and possibility, is the truly authentic way to live. To never ‘grow up’ in the limiting sense is to embrace your true power, for what society often labels ‘grown up’ is merely a facade—a giving in to fear and an absolute relinquishment of your inherent power.
This is why I say fear is so subtle. The way it has been built into the fabric of your societal success paradigms is insidious. Consider the narrative: if you attain the job, the house with the mortgage, the car with the loan, the marriage, the children, then you have supposedly ‘succeeded, Mr./Ms. Jones.’ But have you truly? What if Ms. Jones’s deepest soul desire was to be a singer, or a pilot, or to live in Africa helping impoverished children? People buy into this pre-packaged system, but the fundamental mistake is that the system offers a ‘one-size-fits-all’ life, and this simply isn’t working. If it ever did, it is most certainly not working now, in these times of profound global awakening.”
Navigating the Awakening: The Hunger for Truth
“Now, as all of the awakening is happening, when there is an urgent need to be real, to explore the truth, and to find yourselves, individuals on your end desperately need to cultivate an awareness of their guides to assist them once they awaken. Otherwise, can you imagine the disorientation of waking up to a new reality with no one there, no direction, no guiding light? You would wander aimlessly, starving for any scrap of knowledge, and what you might encounter along the path isn’t always aligned with your highest good. This is precisely why so many spiritual seekers, in their profound hunger for wisdom and training, sometimes inadvertently consume inaccurate or even detrimental information.
Fortunately, more and more authentic teachers are awakening as well. However, even these teachers must exercise extreme caution regarding the source of their information. Our collective aim is to teach truth, to empower individuals, and to help people connect to their own inner truth—this remains the most optimal path.
Even within the Spirit Guide realm, there can be what you might perceive as ‘fear’ among certain guides regarding specific challenges. Yet, their unwavering commitment to their mission—to help the incarnate achieve their life plan—always prevails.”

Transcendence: From Fear to Freedom
As Amy’s message makes clear, the pervasive nature of fear can be actively transformed; it begins from within. There are myriad pathways to confront one’s own fear. My personal approach, when facing fear, is often to simply say ‘Fuck It’ and act. This direct engagement with the uncomfortable zone is essential. We must consciously step outside our comfort zones to initiate change, to shift, and to overcome our self-imposed limitations.
Fear is an illusion, a test designed to be overcome, paving the way for profound personal and planetary evolution. It is a fundamental choice: to remain bound by its subtle chains, or to courageously reach for the freedom that is your birthright. The ultimate result of this inner work is unparalleled freedom, authentic self-expression, and continuous progress along your true path.
